Steven Webb is a voice of resilience, a long-serving councillor, and a renowned meditation teacher. In 1991, a diving accident left him a C5 tetraplegic, but he has since turned significant adversity into a life of public service and guidance. He served as the Mayor of Truro from 2021 to 2023 and currently sits on Cornwall Council. Steven is also a prolific creator in the wellness space, with over 10 million downloads on Insight Timer and a popular podcast, Stillness in the Storms.

Steven Webb is a Cornwall Councillor and the former Mayor of Truro (2021–2023). After breaking his neck in 1991, Steven navigated life as a C5 tetraplegic to become a leading advocate for mental health and resilience. He combines his civic duties with a global reach as a meditation teacher, having achieved over 10 million downloads on the Insight Timer app. Through his blog and his Stillness in the Storms podcast, Steven helps people find peace during difficult times. He is a father to his daughter, Kember, and lives in Truro.

Steven Webb is a testament to the power of perspective. In 1991, his life changed in an instant when a diving into a swimming pool resulted in a broken neck. This accident left him a C5 tetraplegic, paralysed from the chest down with no hand function. Rather than letting this define his limits, Steven spent the next three decades mastering the art of resilience and finding stillness in chaos.
Steven entered public service to give back to the community that supported him. He was elected to Truro City Council in 2017 and later made history by serving two consecutive terms as the Mayor of Truro from May 2021 to May 2023. During his mayoralty, he focused on community wellbeing and inclusivity. He was also elected to Cornwall Council in 2021, where he actively serves on key committees including the Health and Adult Social Care Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
Beyond politics, Steven is a dedicated teacher of mindfulness. He is one of the top teachers on Insight Timer, the world's largest meditation app, where his tracks have been downloaded over 10 million times. He also hosts two podcasts, Stillness in the Storms and Inner Peace Meditations, which support listeners through trauma, anxiety, and the challenges of modern life.
Steven is a proud father to his daughter, Kember. His work, both in the council chamber and online, is driven by a simple philosophy: we cannot always control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond.
